We first met a representative from First National Waverley City when attending a seminar put on by a local retirement village. Chris Feng gave an overview of the way First National business model differed from other real estate agencies. Booklets were available at this session; detailed information contained therein expanded upon Chris’ talk. From time to time Chris and Peter would follow up in a friendly and non-pressure way to see how we were going. We were not planning on selling our property at that time. However, life moves on and we took the decision to down-size, declutter and start the process of moving to a more manageable premises.
First National was our choice of agent; an appointment was booked for Chris and Peter to meet at our house. Chris and Peter spent quality time explaining the finer points of their sales approach. We took the decision to place our property in their hands. At all times the company representatives listened to us and how we wanted our property sale handled. Once the contract was signed, an appointment was made for the whole team to spend time on the property with us and to ensure that all representatives knew our wishes in handling the sale. The whole team was on board – each bringing a different sales perspective to the sale process. At all times we were kept informed of progress, times and dates of appointments (both open days and private appointments). The property was always left secure after each session.
Our property was not a regular ‘house block’, so needed expertise in directing marketing and interaction with potential buyers. A successful sale was achieved within ten weeks of signing to sell our property.
